Conservative parliamentary candidate for West Lancashire, Paul Greenall, has said Labour are 'running scared' after they failed to turn up for an election hustings debate at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk on Thursday March 12th. The Conservative borough council has set aside monies to resurface a pothole-ridden lay by in its budget. West Lancashire Borough Council has commissioned an independent study by Lancaster University into the impact Ormskirk’s nightlife of restaurants, bars and clubs is having on people living, working and visiting the town centre.
Work set to start on Monday 16 February on a major transformation to one of the main shopping streets in Ormskirk town centre.
The scheme will make the pedestrianised section of Moor Street from Moorgate to the clock tower much more attractive and provide a better experience for businesses, shoppers, visitors and everyone who lives and works in the town.
