A new report has been published which will help to develop an Economic Development Strategy for West Lancashire to further boost the local economy and create new jobs. The West Lancashire economy is performing well when compared to the UK and the North West, and this is expected to continue, given its excellent strategic location, amongst other factors
Commenting on the proposed closure of Glenburn Sports College in Skelmersdale, Paul Greenall, the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for West Lancashire, said: “Having visited Glenburn several times, I've always been very impressed by the staff and pupils so was very saddened to hear about the proposal.
Children are in for a real treat as funding secured by the Borough Council will provide new play equipment at three popular sites. Work's now taking place in Coronation Park, Ormskirk, and will start soon at Richmond Park, Burscough and playing fields in Westhead.
The Conservative Party Conference took place in Birmingham at between Sunday 28th September till Wednesday 1st October. It was well attended by West Lancs and South Ribble party activists, members and councillors.
