Plans to make Ormskirk MotorFest an even better event are in top gear after Conservative controlled West Lancashire Borough Council approved funding for future extravaganzas.Ormskirk MotorFest is organised each year by Aintree Circuit Club with the support of the Council. An estimated 25,000 people enjoyed the superb attractions in August 2013, making the MotorFest one of the biggest free family events in the North West.
West Lancs Conservative Future enjoyed an afternoon watching the Rugby in Styles Bar Ormskirk. Besides cheering on what was arguably the most exciting game of the 6 Nations so far the discussions soon turned to local and national issues and especially the elections in May.
Estate transformation in Skelmersdale, new play areas in Ormskirk and Burscough, and extra CCTV for West Lancashire's rural areas have been unveiled by the Conservative Borough Council.
Following the decision not to proceed with an Early Morning Restriction Order, Edward McCarthy (Conservative Knowsley ward candidate for 2014) and James Trafford (West Lancs Conservative Future) took to the streets of Ormskirk to observe for themselves the town after midnight.
