West Lancashire Conservative candidate Mike Prendergast is calling on people to seize the opportunity for change in their area.
The 38-year-old solicitor said:
As someone who has worked and ran a business in West Lancashire for the last 15 years, I’m aware of the high regard that many people in West Lancashire hold Rosie Cooper. She has diligently addressed the concerns of local people over a 17-year career.
Regardless of political affiliation, I think that kind of record must be respected and, for my part as a business owner in West Lancashire, I would like to thank our outgoing MP for her years of service and wish her well in her new role.
This is a fantastic place to live and work and I am standing to be elected as the new MP on a positive platform that will benefit local people and our local economy. At the by-election, voters in West Lancashire have an opportunity to bring about positive change for their area and I will be working hard over the coming weeks to show people that they can bring about that change in West Lancashire by voting Conservative.
