TREASURY MINISTER David Gauke was in Lancashire to see how business is booming across the region.
Mr Gauke MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury visited Ormskirk Market and Thomas Guy Haulage in Burscough with Conservative County Councillor David Westley and Councillor Eddie Pope, the candidate for Burscough & Rufford.
After the visit, Mr Gauke said: "I was delighted to visit Thomas Guy Haulage in Burscough and Ormskirk Market, which is made up of fantastic small independents, such as the family run Wilkinson's butchers.
Both are a sign that across Lancashire, small businesses and firms are benefitting from the strong economic growth that we're seeing."
Thanking Mr Gauke for visiting, Cllr Westley said: "It was great to have a senior minister visit West Lancashire and clear evidence of just how important the economy of Lancashire is to the Conservative Government."
