On Thursday 29 January from 4-8pm, West Lancashire Investment Centre will be hosting ‘Let’s Talk Start Up and Growth,’ a free interactive event aimed at anyone thinking about starting or expanding a business in West Lancashire. The event will have workshops, exhibitors, advice, opportunities, networking and much more for those who attend.
Keynote speaker Kate Hardcastle will open the event offering advice on putting the customer at the heart of your business and giving tips on ways to build and grow as a business no matter what size or type.
Learn how to use social media to grow your business and get support for new and high-growth businesses from Lancashire ‘LEAP’ with two special workshops available. Be warned though, places are limited and due to popularity must be pre-booked.
In addition to the workshops there will be a range of exhibitors to gain information including finance experts, advice on trademarks and patents, help on starting a social enterprise, help with recruitment and skills plus much more. There will also be a business connections wall where you can post and reply to notices sorted by industry plus the chance to network and expand your business contacts.
Councillor David Westley, leader of West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “The Start up and Growth event is a fantastic opportunity for new or established businesses to learn how to improve and expand. I recommend anyone from the local area who wants to start or grow their business to come along and enjoy what’s on offer.”
Events such as this are sometimes oversubscribed and so whilst the event is free to attend, people must register in advance. Visit business events or call 01695 712692 to book a place. If you want to attend any workshops please specify when booking. Refreshments will be provided.
