Would you like to know about the exciting free events taking place in West Lancashire’s wonderful parks and countryside sites? Then make sure you get a copy of the 2017 Parks and Countryside Events programme. During 2017 you will be able to join the West Lancashire Borough Council Parks and Countryside Ranger Service on a huge range of exciting activities and events.
Major events planned for later in the year include the Medieval Weekend at Coronation Park, Ormskirk, on Saturday 13 May and Sunday 14 May, and the Green Fayre at Beacon Country Park on 22 July and 23 July. The programme includes a wide range of wonderful walks, concerts, and events for the whole year, including opportunities to volunteer and help make the parks look even nicer, so there really is something for everybody. Please join the fun and enjoy the great outdoors right on your doorstep.

West Lancashire Parks and Countryside Service manage 13 sites across the Borough including the Green Flag Award winning Beacon Country Park in Up Holland and Coronation Park in Ormskirk. These sites are recognised as being amongst the best green spaces in the country. The other sites managed by the service are: Abbey Lakes, Up Holland; Cheshire Lines Cycle Path, Altcar; Chequer Lane Lake, Up Holland; Dean Wood, Up Holland; Fairy Glen, off Parbold Hill; Hunters Hill, Hilldale; Platts Lane Lakes, Burscough; Richmond Park, Burscough; Ruff Wood, Ormskirk; Stanley Coronation Park, Skelmersdale; and Tawd Valley Park, Skelmersdale.
