Thomas Burton the Conservative candidate for the Derby Ward in the local council elections within West Lancashire has organised an event on Saturday 5th March 2016 between 12pm-2pm at The Halton Castle Pub in Westhead in order for local residents to come and have their views heard. County Councillor David Westley, Borough Councillor Paul Greenall and the candidate in the local elections, Thomas Burton, will be there to listen to what you have to say.
Thomas said, "The aim of this event in Westhead is to hear the views of local people. We want to hear what local residents think about on a wide range of topics. By listening to local people it will ensure that we put them at the heart of the decisions within West Lancashire. The role of a Councillor is to service the people and this is something I strongly believe in. It is important that residents have a strong voice within the Borough Council and that importantly they have councillors that listen and get things done."
Thomas concluded by saying, "I believe that the fundamental role of a local Councillor is to listen. Residents need a voice in the Borough Council that will speak on their behalf and I believe if elected this is something I can achieve by listening to residents.”
