The West Lancs Social Action Team supported the local Domestic Violence Support Services in the run up to this Christmas with a very succesful shoe box appeal.
It was humbled by the response as the boxes began to roll in; this week saw the end of the appeal with boxes taken to the Domestic Violence Support Services team.
Edward McCarthy and Sue Murrin-Bailey (pictured) from West Lancs Social Action said: "This was a good cause for us to support, and we were overwhelmed by the response. On behalf of the Team, we would like to thank everyone who helped."

*The team's been involved in other social action projects such as litter picking and tidying up areas and will be working next year with others to tidy up parts of West Lancashire, starting with Burscough then Ormskirk. If you have a project you would like to discuss, phone Sue on 07767 795451.
