Thomas Burton, the Conservative candidate for the Derby Ward in the local elections, within West Lancashire, is delighted that long overdue road resurfacing will take place on Vicarage Lane, Westhead.
The planned work will take place on Monday 9th May 2016 until Friday 13th May 2016. As a result, during these times there will be limited access to the road and alternative routes provided for traffic.
Thomas said: "I am delighted to hear that this long overdue resurfacing work will now take place along this stretch of road. This work will add to the recent car parking improvements at Ruff Woods which was a Conservative initiative in the their Budget last February. It was clear to see that this road needed urgent attention and the current method of just filling in the potholes was simple not working. Many residents that use this road were concerned about its poor state and some residents even commented on damage to cars which is totally unacceptable.”
