Your local Derby Ward Conservative Councillor Team want YOUR views on possible proposals for three areas of Derby Ward.
The council is looking at the following proposals:
- Tower Hill/Thompson Ave field: New play equipment, tree planting, community garden, seating and picnic benches.
- Land between Nursery Ave/Greetby Hill: Possible tree planting and benches (see photo above)
- Westhead Playing Field: Improvement to the open space provision, including new play equipment for older children. Shrub planting along perimeter fence line, trees and low level planting to create a small wooded area including access footpath and seating.
The above schemes, if progressed, would be funded by developer contributions from local construction projects in Derby Ward, known as Section 106 agreements. The funding can only be used to improve local, public open spaces only. If the money is not spent within a certain timeframe, the developer may apply to retrieve the money.
Please note the above proposals are just that—proposals. It does not mean the schemes will go ahead. As local councillors, we want YOUR views. Please contact us today to have your say!
