Conservative success in Parbold as they held the seat in the by-election. The results were - Conservative 554, Labour 461 and UKIP 103. This means there are still 2 Conservative Borough Councillors in Parbold, and West Lancs Borough Council is split by 28 Conservative seats and 26 Labour ones.
