Community campaigner Cindy Miller, who has been chosen as the Conservative candidate for Moorside Ward, held a community walkabout yesterday.
Cindy spoke to local residents in the Moor Drive, Nixons Lane and Martins Lane area about a number of issues, including litter, dog fouling and motorcycle nuisance.
Following the walkabout, with West Lancashire Conservative Association officers Cllrs Adrian Owens and David Sudworth, a number of issues have been raised with the Borough Council.
They include:
- Litter and dog fouling on the pathway between Digmoor Road and Nixons Lane
- Motorcycle nuisance on land at the bottom of Moor Drive
- An untidy site on Birleywood
- A graffitied sign off Digmoor Road
Cindy said: "Residents raised a number of issues which I will now be working on with colleagues. I got a great response from locals, who were pleased to see someone taking an interest in the area.
"I want to work with the local community to make Moorside a great place to live. By working alongside each other, we can make a real difference to Moorside."
