Sam Currie, Conservative candidate for West Lancashire, invited Therese Coffey, Under Secretary of State at the Department of the Environment, to West Lancashire to discuss various local flooding issues. He took the Minister to see the Alt/Crossens Pumps that are under threat of being switched off, Parbold where many houses were flooded in December 2015 and the ongoing problem with combined sewers in Burscough. They were accompanied by Seema Kennedy, the Conservative Candidate seeking re-election in the South Ribble seat.
This morning, Sam said: "It was great to have the Minister visit the Constituency and have the opportunity to discuss possible solutions whilst showing her around West Lancs. I was able to explain the issues and impress upon her the importance of finding solutions for the benefit of local residents and the economy of West Lancs.”.
Sam Currie is promoted by Cllr David Westley on behalf of the West Lancs Conservatives, all of WLCA, 72C New Court Way, Ormskirk Lancs L39 2YT.
