Visitors to Ormskirk Market on Thursday 1 August can meet the West Lancashire Borough Council team that is cracking down on fly-tipping, dog fouling and litter. The Environmental Enforcement Team is regularly out on patrol throughout the borough. They keep a watchful eye out for litter louts, flytippers and dog owners who allow their pets to foul and do not clean it up.Team members will be at the market to tell people all about the work they do.
If you want to bring any problems with these issues to the team’s attention or want some advice then please come and see them at the market. Their stall will be on the WHSmiths side of Moor Street.
Councillor David Sudworth, portfolio holder for Health, Leisure and Community Safety, said: “Residents quite rightly get very annoyed when they see dog fouling, litter and fly-tipping on our streets, parks and countryside. Dog fouling is not only unpleasant it is a health hazard, which is why we have boosted the amount of enforcement in the borough."
