Following the election results, the Conservatives won in West Lancs East, West Lancs South and West Lancs North. We did not win in West Lancs West, Skelmersdale West, Skelmersdale East or Skelmersdale Central. Labour won the borough council Digmoor by election.

Following the results Lancashire County Council is now No Overall Control with Labour on 39 seats, Conservatives on 35 seats, Lib Dems 6 seats, Independents on 3 seats and Green Party on 1 seat.
