Litter and dog fouling is a major concern for some local residents in Ormskirk, and following on from concerns raised by Ormskirk residents, Edward McCarthy Conservative Candidate for Knowsley ward raised their concerns with West Lancs Borough Council.
Edward said: “Residents get very annoyed when they see dog fouling. Dog fouling is not only unpleasant it is a health hazard. Following on from concerns from residents I have asked West Lancs Borough Council if a dog bin could be installed near the houses on Moorgate. I also spotted a sign a resident has made about dog fouling on Cottage Lane. I have asked the council to check the current signs and pavement stencils in both areas, and maybe install more of them.”
Edward McCarthy added “If residents would like to report any issues / incidents regarding dog fouling please contact West Lancs Borough Council, on the Council website you can report these issues too.”
