The Conservative message was taken to Edge Hill University last week at the Ormskirk institution's Freshers' Fair.
Edward McCarthy, Co-ordinator of West Lancs Conservative Future, was joined by fellow activists and councillors at the event held on campus.
Edward said: "We had a really positive response from the students at Edge Hill. As a party, we try to get as many young people as possible involved and the feedback was really good.
"We spoke to a number of students who want to help us win elections locally and ensure that Labour do not do to West Lancashire what they did to the country.
"We also spoke to some students who have been here for some time and they were impressed at how active Conservatives are locally. Many commented that they don't hear from Labour except for at election times, whereas Conservatives work hard all year round."
