West Lancs Borough Council elections held today. A third of the 54 seats will be contested.
European Parliamebt elections also held today. In total, 73 Members of the European Parliament will be elected from the United Kingdom using proportional representation. England, Scotland and Wales use the D'Hondt method of PR, whilst Northern Ireland use the Single Transferable Vote (STV).
